Project Process

We have a disciplined, straightforward process that takes the hassle and cost out of building a beautiful, effective website.

• Discovery. A discovery session in person or over the phone to gets things started. We explore your website needs, including branding, communication and user engagement. We’ll ask questions and suggest ideas.
• Kickoff. Once we understand your website needs, we give you an estimate of how many hours we need to design your site. You pay a deposit, which we draw down by the hour. You approve each chunk of work, keeping you in control.
• Project Overview. Your website strategy is documented into a simple text document. Best to get on the same page before incurring design costs.
• Base Website Created. Using our TopSoil website service, we create your site in minutes. Pages are easily added and edited by you or us. Design is added later. All clients get our TopSoil service for free. Save thousands of dollars in development and hosting fees.
• Gather Content. We help you figure out what content to add to your website. We can stylize the content to match your website. Want to add content yourself? We’ll give you a style sheet to make sure future content looks great.
• Design mockups. You'll collaborate with us on the design direction. Mockups we create will allow you to visualize the website before we apply the design.
• Apply the design. We apply the approved mockup design to the website and work with you to stylize the content. We ensure your website looks professional across all major browsers and smartphones.
• Training. You will participate in a one-hour training session. You'll learn to edit the website going forward. Or, call us anytime to manage it for you.
