Websites as a "Public Good"

We believe everyone in Chicago who wants a website should have one. We believe it is a public good. The more connected we are, the stronger our community is. Openhill has been working with our partners – Chicago nonprofit Green Street Project, the City of Chicago and IBM – on a new campaign to provide thousands of free websites across Chicagoland. In fact, we are hosting a public event with at IBM at their Chicago office in autumn 2010 to celebrate and to plan next steps for how to make Chicago one of the most interconnected Cities in the country.
